The Workout

Instruction in the gym is “olympic style” amateur boxing. You get a great cardio workout and build strength and agility while learning boxing skills. All gym members receive personal training from Dakota.

Your workout will include:
  • jumping rope
  • guided stretching exercises
  • training drills
  • working on the speed bag and heavy bag
  • hitting mitts
  • sparring and boxing skills instruction
  • having fun!

Sparring practice available for kids and adults.

Training for competition is available for ages 8 and up.

Sparring practice available for men, women, and kids

“TKO” : Boxing Circuit class for women

Mondays & Wednesdays 7:30 – 8:30 pm

“KNOCKOUT” : Boxing circuit class for women with 50 pounds or more to lose

This class is a boxing circuit routine designed to burn fat while building muscle and confidence in a supportive, shame-free environment.

Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:40 – 6:40 pm

ROPE-A-DOPAS : Boxing class for Parkinson’s patients.

Calisthenics_PD
Boxing requires movement in all planes of motion while continuously adjusting for changes in the workout routine. In this class, employing a diversity of exercises, boxers work to improve their balance, focus, agility, hand-eye coordination, speed, endurance and strength. Exercises based on these boxing drills help build confidence and enhance the specific physical abilities that tend to become lost with PD. Taught by Solid Stone Boxing Gym founder-owner and professional boxer Dakota Stone, and supported by the camaraderie of classmates who understand the struggle, this class aims to empower people fighting Parkinson’s.
